Windies announces squad for ODI's

West Indies have promulgated their constrained-overs squad for the upcoming series against England that commences from 20th February. Veteran opener Chris Gayle makes his return to the side after being unavailable for the tours of India and Bangladesh last year.
Uncapped wicket-keeper batsman Nicholas Pooran has earned maiden call-up to the inhibited-overs cricket. Off-spinner Ashley Nurse has recuperated from injury and makes his way into the squad for this series. Pace bowler Shannon Gabriel has been reposed for the one-day series.
West Indies have designated their supersessions for the one-day series as uncapped John Campbell is included in the place of injured Evin Lewis. Carlos Brathwaite and Sheldon Cottrell come in lieu of injured Keemo Paul and Rovman Powell. Opener John Campbell made his Test debut for West Indies and did exceedingly well for the side at the top of the innings.
Pace bowler Sheldon Cottrell has been a component of the T20 squad for the West Indies. His last one-day appearance came against Bangladesh at home in July 2018. Chief selector Courtney Browne verbalized that John Campbell has been rewarded for his excellent performance in the three-match Test series. He verbally expressed that he expects Campbell put in a decent performance in the constrained-overs format for West Indies.
Carlos Brathwaite and Sheldon Cottrell have made their comeback to the one-day side as Kemo Paul and Rovman Powell have been sidelined due to injuries. Kemar Roach, Oshane Thomas and Jason Holder are premier options in the pace bowling department for West Indies.
The five-match one-day series commences in Barbados on Wednesday and the second game will be played at the same venue on Friday.
